Awareness PR-I
ntroduction:
Wind energy is a kinetic energy associated with movement of large masses of air.It is clean, cheap and
eco-friendly renewable source.
Moderate to high speed winds, typically from 5m/s to about 25m/s are considered favorable for most
wind turbines.
The electric power generation through wind was proposed in Denmark in 1980.
This may lead to circulation of widespread winds on a global basis, producing plantery winds or may
have a limited influence in a smaller area to cause local winds.
dvantages:
Renewable source of energy
Non polluting
Fuel provision and transport are not required
isadvantages:
Available wind is fluctuating in nature
Favourable wind is available only in a few geographical areas which are away from city
Wind turbine design, manufacturing and installation is complex due to several variables and extreme
stresses

Resilience PR-I

➢ I have chosen different wind plants in a particular area and all the wind
power generation will clubbing at a single bus bar point
➢ This paper proposes an online dispatch rescheduling algorithm for WPPs
participating in the LFC task to prevent over loading of transmission
lines
➢ Wind power plant has cascading failures following severe frequency
contingencies
➢ The WPP dispatch limits are calculated based on line ampacity for each
generation unit participating in the LFC task
