Activity 6: CRITICAL REFLECTION. Answer the following questions briefly.

1. What are the common qualities shared by good speakers?
- The common qualities of a good speaker has first, fluency. A good speaker must be
fluent in speaking so he/she can convey the message properly. Second, the
confidence. A good speaker must have confidence. So that they will convey the
message properly. If not, there is a big possibility that the message will not convey
properly.

2. What are the strategies employed by good speakers to get audience attention?
- First, the speaker must have that lively voice so that the audience will be energized.
And maybe he must know the audience so that he must know the strategy to use.
The speaker should make the topic or the way they speak so that it will be
interesting and exciting to get the audience attention. Because if the speaker was
dull then the audience may lose their interest to listen.

3. Does a message need to be lengthy? Or short but interesting? Elaborate.


- A message can be short but precise and interesting. In speaking you don’t need a
message that is lengthy. Instead, you should have a message that is interesting. It
should be also precise so that the audience will understand it properly. A message
that is short but precise is most likely can bring more impact to the audience
because it will be easy to understand.
