INTRODUCTION:

❖ Robotics is the technology that deals with design, construction, operation, and use of robots.
The goal of robotics is to design machines that can help and assist humans.
❖ Robot is a reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator, design to move material and it
consists of anthropomorphic characteristics.
❖ In the present pandemic situation sanitizers have become part of our daily life. The existing
sanitization techniques are based either heat, radiation, and chemicals, which are risky to do
physically
❖ Our proposed technique is to disinfects the bactericidal effect on surfaces using UV Light in
isolation units. Comparing with the existing standard cleaning and chemical disinfection
methods, our proposed technique not only disinfects, but also it dispenses the chemical to
disinfect the bacteria.
EXISTING SYSTEM:
The existing sanitization techniques are based either heat, radiation, and chemicals, which are risky to
do physically.

Existing disinfectant procedures that rely on the manual application of chemical based disinfectants
are time consuming, resource intensive and prone to high degrees of human error.

Alternative non-touch disinfection methods, such as Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI), have
the potential to overcome many of the limitations of existing approaches.
DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM:
❖ Rely more on manual application.
❖ No automatic system.
❖ Cleaning removes most impurities but does not kill it.
❖ Require additional time to complete.
❖ Cleaning solution consumption is higher.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:

• In our proposed system we are going to employ the use of UV lights to kill all the bacteria, viruses
and fungus present on surfaces and also stops further growth of them.

ADVANTAGES:
❖ It is easy to implement .
❖ This module is efficient and gives effective results.
❖ It does not contain any residual chemicals or orders.
❖ It is speed and flexible.
❖ No harmful residue.
❖ Autonomous navigation.
UV disinfectant robot
❖ UV disinfection creates a safe environment.
❖ Shorter turnaround time required as compared to conventional disinfectants.
HARDWARE COMPONENTS AND SOFTWARE USED

Applications:
Future Scope:

❖ Since the robot is developed on small scale and is still cost and energy efficient , Its
further is bright and wide
❖ Robot can be further be equipped with UV sterilization lamps to interact with
infected areas on the top and side areas
Conclusion:

❖ UV sterilization is the newest infection prevention trend, and one that appears to be of
increasing importance. A robotic UV device programmed to automatically navigate the
room was effective in reducing contamination at sites throughout the room. This study
showed that a non-touch automated system, the UV light was effective in substantially
reducing the use of man power.

❖ This robot can disinfect a wide area with ultraviolet rays. These robots are very useful in
hospital, shopping malls and other people gathering areas. We now have this robot built in
a way that can be controlled remotely. It is more accurate and efficient. This robot has
infinite future possibilities.
