The concept of law is an instrument of a government is about why the government applying
law to govern certain country. Law has become the top agency of power in a state.
Government put law as the top agency of power is to regulate the society. With the existence
of law, government could make law as a reference to apply sanctions based on any acts that
created in a law

Fashion rules can govern and influence the way we live in society because it helps the
society to wear appropriately in certain event. For example, basically the people will wear
black when they come to funeral. Besides, it also helps the society to protect their pride
especially the women. For instance, in religious law especially in Islam, we need to wear
something that not expose our whole body except the face and palms in order to reduce the
sexual harassment.

The issue here is the validity of the Death with Dignity Act should be legalized or not.

From the perspective of the naturalist which is Thomas Acquinas claims that law is come
from god. Everything that happen on this earth is because of God, God’s law governance the
whole universe. Death also is a god decision. Only god knows when we will die. We cannot
force ourselves to die like commit suicide and so on. Based on Mr. Craig and Dr. Emily case
Death with Dignity Act shows that it was really against the nature. It is because, it was still
not the time for him to die yet, but Mr. Craig begging to Dr. Emily to let him die ‘peacefully’
which is Dr. Emily done it with administered a large dose of secobarbotal on Mr. Craig.
Whatever the objective of Mr. Craig to die, but he should leave it to god and let god make
his decision.

From the perspective of positivist which is John Austin claims that laws came from the
sovereign. Sovereign is the authority who administered the law through some process.
Based on this case, Mr. Craig wll claim as a suicide because of he request to Dr. Emily to
let him die before its time for him to die and he is the one who begging to her to let him die.
