Violence punishment at school

Violence punishment at school is an interesting topic to discussed today. Some people said it was
considered not relevant applied to student and it made their own disquiet for education practitioners
(teachers, students and guardians). Some opinion continue to emerge regarding this case. This can
even continue in the direction of the court.

There are strengths in every weakness. Violence in education also has a positive impact as long as it is
measurable, for example physical violence by pinching, slow punching and so on if it does not hurt the
physical or psychological aspects of the student. In the other condition, violent punishment can be a
whip for student, so they feel afraid if they do problem later. Violence punishment should be given
when other punishment no longer have a good effect for students.

On other hand, violence punishment has some weakness. Some cases that we know in social media
lately can give us an understanding that sometimes the violence punishment also has a very terrible
impact, such as the case of a student who hit or beat his teacher, a student who disturbed his mental, a
student who suffered injuries due to the punishment given not measurable and tends to be
incremental. Not only that, the more surprising case is sexual violence, teachers who are supposed to
be role model for their student, they do commit crimes, so teacher who educate actually lose respect.

In cases of punishment violence in schools or other educational settings is the last solution that can be
applied by teachers or teachers by looking at the characteristics of students. Teachers must be able to
measure the punishment of violence as what is appropriate given to make students better, not blindly
and give examples. Violence punishment is fine to educate, not to physically and mentally hurt
students.
