1. a. Language Meaning: Language is system of communication between individuals and society, by


spoken, written, or signed.
b. Society: A group of people who gather because of some reasons, they are living in the same country,
or they have the same interest or they gathered because they have the same background, and many other
reasons.
c. Sociolinguistic: The study of the effect of any aspects of society, on the way language is used.

2. a. Formal organizations: is an organization with a fixed set of rules of intra-organization procedures and
structures. As such, it is usually set out in writing, with a language of rules that ostensibly leave little discretion
for interpretation. It means that Formal organization arrange the use of Language in the written regulations.
b. Institution: Is a society or organization founded for a religious, educational, social or similar purpose. By that
I believe that Institution is the place to learn and to improve our language use.
c. Society: Language use was influenced or indeed guided by socially relevant factors, such as class,
profession, age, and gender. So, there are many languages used in different society.

3. The language used by someone in daily life describes the identity from someone who used it, their origin, their
nature, their educational background, or even their social status.

4. Types of Code-switching”
a. Intra-sentinel Switching: “Seperti yang you lihat, ike sekarang sudah menjadi
celebrities sekarang”
b. Inter-sentential Switching: “Aduh masa kamu lupa, I am the person who’s called you”
c. Tag-switching: “Oh God! Saya lupa kalua Saya harus mengumpulkan tugas ini
sekarang”

5. To be honest I still don’t understand what does this mean, but I will try my best to give the answer for this, In my
perception sometime everyone think that if we learn Linguistic we will have a better Language and to implement it in
daily basis. But Language not only learning Grammar to become a “better” English. There are many dialects around
the world that does not match each other. , “People should understand that one language isn’t inherently
“easier” or “harder” than another, at least from the point of view of children learning the language as their
