Father,
I abandon myself into your hands;
do with me what you will.

From the need to control my situation…
…The humility to see myself as You see me.
From complaining, negativity, and cynicism…
…The generosity to see others as You see them.
From resentment of others’ achievements and gifts… …The humility to receive correction.
From finding my worth in externals… …The thoughtfulness to offer correction.
From the lie that I have to earn Your love… …The freedom to be myself.
From the lie that I am a burden or an inconvenience... …The freedom to ask for help.
From the lie that You are not enough… …The freedom to try and to fail.
From the lie that I have to stop sinning before I can approach You… …The patience to accept that I am a work in progress.
From the lie that I am alone… …The grace to run to You in times of temptation.
