Executive Summary
Synergy PaperWorks is a unique concept based on making seed-infused paper bags,
business cards, and price tags from recycled paper. The aim of this business is crafting fine
quality seed infused paper with organic fibers and preowned papers. Our paper is made
with no new fibers which mean no plants are cut to manufacture our products instead you
can grow new plants by sowing pieces of seed infused paper into the soil. As Government
of Pakistan is banning the usage of plastic bags, so the trend and demand of paper bags is
rising because it is necessity of every person to bring products in bags. Synergy
PaperWorks will provide environment friendly solution for this problem that is paper bags.
Many companies and brands are using promotional strategies to attract their customer and
such they would like to use our seed infused business cards and price tags to spread positive
image for their business. A huge advantage to Synergy PaperWorks is that there is no as
such manufacturer of seed-infused paper products in the market. However, we will face
certain threats like more usage of paper bags by people and less awareness about seed
infused papers.

Our slogan is inspired by the objective of the company to provide environmental
friendly solution to the problem of using plastic bags and its hazards.

This business is based on sole proprietorship in which Ms. Fatima will be the sole
owner and will be responsible for its debts. As this is the start-up business sole
proprietorship will be suitable as revenues will be small initially.

2.2.2.2 Envelops
After the use of plantable envelopes they can be planted and grew into beautiful
flower, herbs or vegetable.
2.2.2.3 Calendar
This will be the most gorgeous gift you can give to someone for New Year as each
paper of calendar will be planted and transformed into plants.
2.4.1 Challenges
A major challenge that we are likely to face is that we are the new seed paper bag
manufacturing company, and we don’t have financial capacity to beat the already
established paper bag industries. Moreover, one big challenge, which we will face, is
that people are unaware of the importance of seed paper bags as simple paper bags
are more famous and traditionally in use by the local customers. It will be challenging
to promote our business within the limited cash reserves as a beginner.

Damage to machine and equipment due to careless usage. Power supply shortage
would lead to poor production.

Monetary loss of customers due to poor satisfaction and unexpected extra costs
incurred.

3. Operations plan
3.1 Production
Plantable paper products are manufactured in following steps:
3.1.1 Cutting
Previously used papers are cut don into small pieces, which are then soaked into the
water overnight.
3.1.2 Blending
Soaked paper pieces are then added into the blender machine where this material is
blended finely into slimy texture.
3.1.3 Pressing
This blended material is then pressed into screens with towels and excess water is
soaked.
3.1.5 Printing
These papers are then transferred to printing machines where they are printed
according to the choice of the customer.
3.1.7 Packaging
Once the products are made, they are packed into the carton box for safe
delivery.

Our shop will be open 6 days in a week, and we will provide services to our customers.
Customers can give order of the products with customize designs. Receipt will be
provided to them. We will provide customer services and they can give us feedback
so that we can evaluate our product quality.
We will proceed according to the legal registration of our business. We will update
our designs according to the demand of the customer. We will sell our product in bulk
directly to grocery stores, brands etc. we will select shop location according tour
target market. All necessary equipment will be purchased.

3.5.1 Just-in-Time
This technique is based on the policy that produced what is needed only and nothing
more than needed. Anything produced other than needed is considered a waste. As
Synergy PaperWorks is a start-up business in this our basic aim is to maximize the
profit by reducing the waste. We will manufacture seed paper products after getting
the order. By doing this we can minimize the presence of non-value operations and
non-moving inventories in the production line.

➢ Income: Above 40,000 of the earners.

➢ Interests: This segment includes people who are interested in playing
responsible part in the society. Some people like to be responsible citizen
and love to make their environment good. Such people would surely like to
purchase our eco-friendly plantable bags.

people will like our plantable paper products.

Our main strength is encouraging the consumers to stop using plastic bags and
other environmental hazard products and promoting the usage of
environmentally friendly products like plantable paper products. This is the way
for stores to increase sales by saving the environment.

8.4.1.2 Weakness
One of the major weaknesses faced by our business is how to communicate the
target market about the importance of plantable products and how beneficial
these products for our environment other than the ordinary paper products. This
product is the new innovation in the market and most of our customer is unaware
of its importance. To cope up with this problem we will make our strong
marketing strategy. Other weak points are

People in different nations and cultures are now paying more attention to the
environmental issues like hazards of plastic bags and are taking personal actions
for the welfare of the environment. Moreover, government of Pakistan has also
ban the usage of paper bags all around the Pakistan which is the opportunity for
Synergy PaperWorks. That is why products like plantable paper bags are getting
popularity because of their features like they are 100% recyclable,
decomposable, and increase the greenery. In addition, our business is setting new
trend in the market and people highly encourage innovative products. By taking
advantage of technological advancement, we can make environmentally friendly
products under limited resources.

9. Marketing Plan
9.1 How the business will market and sell its products
In order to continue to be in business and to grow we need to adopt following
strategies to market our business
➢ We will inaugurate our business with the grand party in which friends and
family will be invited to whom we will give promo codes.
➢ We will introduce our plantable paper products business by sending
introductory letters along with posters and brochures to corporate
businesses, retail stores, pharmacies, clothing brands, restaurants etc.
➢ We will ensure to manufacture wide variety of designs of our products.
➢ Make use of attractive handbills to create awareness and also direction
towards our outlet.
➢ We will position our billboards at famous places around the city.
➢ We will design a loyalty plan to that will make us able to reward our regular
customers.
➢ We will promote our products through internet.
➢ Engage in direct marketing and sales.
➢ We will encourage the use of positive word of mouth marketing.
➢ We will go for personal selling as it is a start-up business. Personal selling
will be looked upon by internal salespeople.

The price of the products may vary depends on the size and design of the product.
Our prices our higher than ordinary paper products because we are offering
plantable paper products with dual function and our products are 100%
recyclable and environmentally friendly. The standard price of our products is

9.2.3 Place
We are planning to open our shop in the basement of Mediacom plaza Kohinoor.
This place is near all brands and corporate businesses where people can approach
us easily. Parking area is also available which will be convenient for our
customers. We will open more outlets once we will achieve the planned revenue
from our business in future.
9.2.4 Promotion
We are planning to spend more on promotion because as a startup business with
innovative idea we need to attract more customers to promote our business. Our
target is to make customers aware about the importance of our products. We will
promote our business mainly through social media apps like Facebook and
Instagram. We will also promote through billboard, posters, and

standees at various places in the city. We will offer promo codes tour friends and
family to promote the business.
9.3 Positioning
Synergy PaperWorks is aiming to become the only plantable paper products
manufacturer with no competitor in the market. We will position our self as the
innovative paper product producers with high quality and latest designs offering.
Our main aim is to make our customer aware about the importance of plantable
paper products and their positive affects to the environment and to position our
self as environmental responsible company which manufactures paper products
without cutting of tress and is taking initiative to plant more trees to make our
country green. We will be the only paper products company which will run Go
Green Campaign along with the normal business.
Our positioning statement is
“Go Green Pakistan”
We will position our business as the paper product manufacturer with the aim to
make Pakistan green.

Synergy PaperWorks is a start-up business which is owned solely by Ms. Fatima. She
did not intend to welcome any other external business partners that is why she has
restricted the sourcing of start-up capital to 3 major sources.
These are sources I intent generating startup cost
11.1 Personal Investment
When starting a business your first investor should be yourself; either with
your own or with collateral on your assets. For Synergy PaperWorks 30% of
the total start-up cost will be provided by the personal savings of the owner.
11.2 Patent Capital
This is the money loaned by friends and family. This money is repaid when
business profits will increase. For Synergy PaperWorks 60% of start-up
capital will be provided by parents. Which will be paid later when business
will start making profits.

11.3 Grants
Obtaining a grant to fund young and new businesses is not easy. That’s why we
don’t hear it happening too often. However, grant programs do exist for green
projects like Synergy PaperWorks. Parks and horticulture authority (PHA)
provides grants in Pakistan to small businesses which works for green projects.
Our business is completely based on green projects which promotes usage of
environmentally friendly recycled products while reducing the use of
environmental hazards products. After sending the request for proposal for our
business the PHA is agreed on giving us grant of 10% of our start-up capital in
return of which we will plant trees in green belt by the left-over seed papers
instead of dumping them.
