FORM 2 THE PATENTS ACT, 1970 (39 of 1970) & The Patents Rules, 2003 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION (See section 10; rule 13) TITLE OF THE INVENTION “FLAT RECEIVER FOR SOLAR PARABOLIC DISH CONCENTRATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD . APPLICANT (S) THEREOF” (a) NAME: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY (b) NATIONALITY: An Indian Institute (©) ADDRESS: Thiruvettakudy, Karaikal - 609 609, Puducherry, India. . PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed. 10 20 NAME OF THE APPLICANT: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY FLAT RECEIVER FOR SOLAR PARABOLIC DISH CONCENTRATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to concentrating solar power technologies. More articularly the present invention relates to a flat receiver with double trumpet secondary reflector for solar parabolic dish concentrator system. Further the present invention relates to a method of working of the flat receiver for solar parabolic dish concentrator system, BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Cavity receivers are already invented for various shapes such as conical, hemispherical, cylindrical, elliptical, heteroconical etc., which are facing towards parabolic dish only ie., at the bottom of the receiver, not concentrated at the top where the energy is not utilized. Due to fuzzy in solar parabolic dish profile, the solar radiation after reflecting on the solar parabolic dish may not converge to the focal point and diverge from it, in that case, a secondary reflector is used to trap the escaping radiations. Solar parabolic dish concentrator is having the highest thermal conversion efficiency comparing to other solar conversion technologies. Reduction in the efficiency depends on the losses in concentrator, 10 20 NAME OF THE APPLICANT: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY Due to practical fabrication errors in solar parabolic dish contour, the solar radiation afier reflecting on the solar parabolic dish may not reach the focal point and passes near through it, in that case, a secondary reflector is used to converge the escaping radiations onto the receiver. For ideal parabola the incoming parallel rays converges at the focal plane. But in real, the parabolic dish will have error. Due to that the reflected rays may not converge at focal point and escape. In order to trap those radiations, in the present invention, secondary reflector is used. WO2015027333A1 relates to a receiver for use with a parabolic solar concentrator. A receiver for use with parabolic solar concentrators. The receiver consists of a heat conductive tube helically coiled into a hollow cone shape. Heat conductive fluid is pumped into an entry point in the tube and exits at an exit point from the tube. A casing is provided to cover the cone. An insulator between the cone and casing prevents heat from escaping from the coil. When deployed, the receiver is positioned such that the aperture of the cone is directed towards the parabolic solar concentrator. The receiver can be positioned so that the focus of the parabolic concentrator is outside of the cone but adjacent to the aperture, Alternatively, the receiver can be positioned so that focus of the parabolic concentrator is inside the cone but still adjacent to the aperture, To assist in the heat transfer, the inside of the cone can be colored black. However, the secondary reflector is not used in the cone shaped receiver, Further, diverted radiations are not converged. 10 20 NAME OF THE APPLICANT: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY US4038964A relates to a parabolic solar concentrator employing flat plate collector. A combined solar energy collector includes a trough having a generally parabolic cross section, the trough having a reflective inner surface adapted to receive and reflect direct and indirect solar radiation. A flat plate solar collector extends along the apex line of the parabolic cross section, the flat plate collector having means therein defining a circuitous path for a fluid passing there through. Means, such as a glass enclosure surrounding the flat plate collector, admits shortwave solar radiation into the flat plate collector and reduces long wave heat reradiation there from. However no secondary reflector is used. US20130276775A1 relates to a cavity receivers for parabolic solar troughs. A tubular heat-absorbing element partly enclosed in an insulating layer or jacket, has absorbing surface that is accessible to solar radiation. The thermal insulation is designed to provide entry to solar radiation by way of a cavity. The absorbing surface can be substantially planar. However the cavity receiver is used in a parabolic trough collector and is used to heat any fluid. US6276359B | relates to a double reflecting solar concentrator. A double reflecting solar concentrator utilizing a primary parabolic reflective surface which reflects incident light toward a secondary surface. The incident light reflects off the secondary surface away from the primary parabolic surface's natural focus point toward a secondary focal point positioned on or substantially near the surface of the primary 10 20 NAME OF THE APPLICANT: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY parabolic reflective surface. However only portion of the parabola is used for concentrating the solar energy. US4088120A relates to a solar concentrator-collector. A solar heat concentrator- collector comprising, in combination, solar radiation concentrator means and collector means for receiving the concentrated solar energy and providing for conversion of the energy into usable or more readily convertable form. The concentrator means may be any of a variety of concentrators known and used in the art, however the collector means of the present invention functions extremely well with a line focus Fresnel array, the array including a plurality of generally parallelly disposed elongated self-supporting elements or panels each with a reflective surface, and with each element or panel having means for positioning its reflective surface in an operative solar viewing disposition, The collector means when adapted for use with a line focus Fresnel array includes an energy absorbing means such as one or more conduits, each having a fluid heat transfer medium moving there through, and with an improved shroud enclosing at least a portion of the collector, the shroud comprising a radiation permeable member having an outer surface concave to the concentrator and defining a transmissive path for a substantial portion of the incident radiation, The configuration of the surface of the radiation permeable member provides a reentrant path for any radiation which is reflected from the surface thereof. The conduit carrying the heat transfer medium has a closed cross-section such as an elongated member of circular or rectangular cross-section to form a 10 15 20 NAME OF THE APPLICANT: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY cylinder, or other regular structure, and with the axis of the fluid transfer conduit or conduits being generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the array of reflective surfaces or panels. A substantial portion of the fluid transfer duct is arranged to view the concentrator means at or along a line substantially at or adjacent the focal point of the concentrator. That portion of the peripheral surface of the collector which comprises the concentrator viewing surface is normally a double-plate or double- glazed arrangement of spaced apart parallelly disposed panels providing a thermal transfer barrier, and the remaining portion of the collector is likewise preferably thermally insulated. However the receiver is cylinder in shape. There exists a need for a flat receiver with double trumpet secondary reflector for solar parabolic dish concentrator system.
