In today’s living where pandemic is still at large, research and data gathering became
harder. But this did not stop individuals in completing tasks relating to gathering data
and information in practicing systems analysis and design.
Back then, the most common fact finding technique and method is via survey, in the
forms of survey questionnaires written in paper, then distributed to respondents that was
selected based on assigned sampling method. But in today’s scenario, where social
distancing is highly practiced and interaction of individuals are minimized, researchers
tend to improvise and make use of applications in the internet such as Google Forms.
This app is used to create a virtual survey questionnaire. Instead of a written form,
researchers give links of the Google Forms they have made to the respondents in order
for them to access the form itself, to be answered by them.
Another way of finding fact that is largely used today is via interview using the
teleconference apps such as Google Meet and Zoom. This became very useful not just
for interview, but also for academic purposes such as class meetings and many more.
Because of this, devices with cameras and microphones became a trend and became
useful, breaking the hindrances to completing tasks to be done despite of the pandemic.
