Dear Mrs. Brown,

My name is Anna Clark and I am writing to recommend of Emily Nelson for admission to
Georgetown Technical High School. I have known Emily since her enrolment to Lessing
Elementary School when she came here as a little child. It has been my joy to work with
Emily as her instructor these past years. During the time that Emily was my student, I
watched her in her ability to grasp complex topics and observed her growth into a
compassionate and creative thinker. Emily Nelson stands out as one of my brightest, most
dedicated math and computer science students.
Additionally, during our time together, Emily displayed great talents in technical applications,
such as Photoshop, Excel, WordArt. When we first met, I was immediately impressed with
Emily and the technical skills she had on day one, but during her time in my class, her
understanding of mathematical processes, statistics and the tools of the trade grew far more
than that of her peers.
It’s not just her technical skills that impress me, however. Emily was a joy to have in my
classes because of her positive attitude and strict adherence to due dates. Her attitude and
teamwork skills were also necessary and valued not just by myself, but by her peers, who
often relied on her to get work done. She also proves to be a very responsible student and
participated in scientific projects of the school.
It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Ms. Nelson to your Georgetown Technical High
School and I am absolutely confident that Emily would achieve great things at your
institution.
