 6. Explain why the Gospels are reliable historical documents. The Gospels are reliable

historical documents because there is reliable proof of the writers,God himself is the main
author of the Bible, and there's evidence of Jesus Christ living on this earth, which the Gospels
are mostly about. The Gospels have historical and theological backgrounds to everything it says
and it also has God's life in there. God's life in there making it a biography about
Him,biographies are a true story about someone's life. Why lie about the life of God? It must
have happened otherwise the gates of Heaven wouldn't have been open at all. Firstly,There is
reliable writers and the theory behind it is because these writers were Jesus' own apostles.
There reliability is in the scripts they wrote years and years ago. There have been pieces of
scripts found throughout history and since printers haven't been already made back then it must
have been at least written very close to the time Jesus was alive and before the apostles have
passed,at least the writers, away to heaven with Christ. Secondly,God himself is the main author
of the whole entire Bible.Of course the Bible starts of with creation which we must know it had to
happen otherwise nothing we know would be here today. And since God exists in the Trinity as
Himself in three persons and explains there is a son,Jesus Christ must have been that
son.Otherwise he would have sinned and would've been born with original sin, therefore no
longer being the Saviour that the Gospel explains Him to be. Lastly, there is pure evidence that
Christ lived on Earth.Take Golgtha being a real place, coincidence right? I believe not because
Jesus Christ died there and near the place where he died there is his burial place in a tomb.Just
like the Gospels explained how he went up a harsh road to death. Golgotha in that time had to
have rocky roads or at least unkept dusty roads so making falling to the ground, again as the
Gospels explain, painful and punishing enough to make one suffer. Therefore all this historical
and even creational evidence shows that the Gospel must be a reliable historical figure in our
faith as the Bible itself is reliable. In conclusion, the Gospel is supported by our faith, the scripture
parts wrote long ago and God himself.

37. Give evidence from the Gospels that Jesus Christ claimed to be divine, and that He
showed He was divine (do not include the Resurrection). In John 20:24-31 Jesus Christ
claimed to be divine and showed he was divine to Thomas, one of the twelve disciples. In the
passage, Thomas didn't believe the other disciples have seen the Lord. Thomas wasn't with
them when Christ first revealed to them he has resurrected. Thomas said, "Unless I see the nail
marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side,I will
not believe." A week later, they were the house once again and Thomas was with them this
time. The doors were locked however Christ came and stood there and said to Thomas, "Put
your finger here;see my hands.Reach out your hand and put it into my side.Stop doubting and
believe." Christ showed that he resurrected and proved it was him to Thomas by showing his
wounds. In John 8, Christ claimed to be the Son of God and that he was the one who talked to
Moses at the burning bush. Christ did and it claims he's God and human as well. He also
claimed he didn't sin to the Jews and was at the level of God, which he was, he claimed this by
saying he spoke to Moses through him being the burning bush. In Luke 8:40-48 Christ heals a
sick woman through an (accidental) miracle. When he healed a sick woman there was a
crowd, she touched him and she was instantly healed. Her faith saved her and she could only be
healed by God's powers. After 7 years she was finally relieved of her sickness due to her faith.

38. The Resurrection is conclusive proof of Jesus Christ’s divinity. List the four main
arguments used to try to deny the historical reality of the Resurrection. Explain why
these arguments are not supported by the facts of the matter. Give at least two specific
facts to refute each argument. On Good Friday Christ died and rose again on the third day
(Sunday). There he showed his teachings and he was the true Lord. There has always been
people against the theory of Christ's divinity however. But the proof was there of his resurrection
that no reasonable person could doubt it. After his death on the cross, he appeared on multiple
occasions said in the Bible itself. He was once seen by several hundred people. He spoke with
his disciples, ate with them and he even let them touch his wounds for solid proof. The apostles
even risked their lives proclaiming it. This is crucial because no man would risk their life if he
hadn't believed it.
