What challenges are there at each level of the organizational behavior model?

Many organizations have informal leadership opportunities. In organizations in which employees are
asked to share in a greater number of decision-making processes rather than simply follow orders, the
roles of managers and employees are becoming blurred. EX. Employees in some retail stores are asked
to make a decision on whether or not to accept returned items on their own, without involving a
manager
Entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals may not act as managers, but they interact with other
individuals and organizations as part of their work.
OB applies to all situations where you interact with others. OB is relevant anywhere that people come
together and share experiences, work on goals, or meet to solve problems.
OB can shed light on family situations, voluntary groups that come together, students working on a
group project, parent committees, or sports teams.
Terms:Organizational behavior - A field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups,
and structure have on behaviour within organizations; the aim is to apply such knowledge toward
improving organizational effectiveness
