A big part of Newton's first law is inertia, which would be the natural

resistance a player at rest experiences as he sets himself in motion, and for

a player in motion, to stop moving. A running back is at rest while he
waits for the center to snap the ball to the quarterback.10

An object at rest will stay at rest, or an object in motion will stay in motion, unless acted
upon by an external force. This is why you don't get propelled upward if you simply stand on
a trampoline—you have to move your legs (the external force).
When a force is applied to a car, the change in motion is proportional to the force
divided by the mass of the car. ... A larger force causes quicker changes in motion, and a
heavier car reacts more slowly to forces. Newton's second law explains why quick cars are
powerful and lightweight
Force equals mass times acceleration (f=ma). When a golf club carries an unbalanced
force it carries a change in velocity. ... One object exerts a force on a second object, the
second object exerts an equal opposite force on the first object. As club hits ball it applies
force causing it to go in motion.
In order to walk, we push our foot against the road and thus exert action force in backward
direction. According to the Newton's third law, the ground exerts an equal force in
opposite direction (reaction force). In this way we walk on the road
According to Newton's third law, every force has an equal and opposite reaction, the force
on the gun is equal to the force on the bullet. Therefore, the gun has a larger mass, so
the magnitude of its acceleration is less than that of the bullet. A player shoots a gun and the
force of the shot results in recoil
