Background of the Study

Client Background

JMARS Electronics and Electrical Center is the business name where it is located in Poblacion A, Midsalip

Zamboanga Del Sur. Mr. Marsdel Domaog Maghanoy is the owner and lives in Canipay, Midsalip Zamboanga del

Sur along with his wife. Their products are all electronic-based such as appliances, mobile accessories, speakers,

wires, etc. They also have a repair shop along with the shop itself where all appliances can be repaired and the

owner itself is the technician. He and his wife are the ones who are running the business. His wife is the cashier and

also the teller. On the other hand, Mr. Maghanoy is the technician and the manager as well. Mr. Maghanoy and his

wife both graduated from the same school, Saint Columban College, Pagadian City. They started the business on

October 06, 2020. The shop opens Monday to Saturday from 8 A.M to 5-5:30 P.M and the shop closes every

Sunday.

[The student must discuss the client's details, including the business name, manager/owner's name,

address, and others. Then the nature of business like its products/services, its partners/clients, the volume of

records/clients/products/employees, and other items that would best describe your client. Provide this as one

paragraph of ten or more sentences.

. They bought supplies in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur by contacting a shop and the supplies will be

delivered through commuting to a public bus. They also purchase supplies in a panel which supplies the other shops.

They use a notebook for checking stocks, listing new stocks, creating a list of products to be bought, etc. They only

refer to a personal appointment than reservation by calling them.

In your second paragraph (with the appropriate number of sentences), discuss your client's business logic

and processes. Identify the technologies, products, and processes in their current system (Existing). Once

identified, it is better to research it and cite it in this document. It should be well cited from appropriate journals

(Journals from Science Direct, IEEE, etc.). This knowledge from reliable resources would help describe the

technology.]

the paragraph. Then, delete this note.]

The Problem

The business runs through a manual system in its stock management. Problems are managing the stock
because sometimes they aren’t aware that some of the product is in low stock and even out of stock. It is also hassle
and time-consuming in listing new stocks because it is done manually(writing) and it’s even not safe to write it in a
notebook. In manual process, the stock is maintained unsafe, inconvenient, and difficult. Manual record of stock is
difficult such as maintaining records of customers who have fully paid and those who didn’t. (Hiyama, 2013)
[Discuss the identified problem from what you have interviewed or gathered from the client. This problem

must be discussed here in detail with the support of the literature/related studies. It should be well cited from

appropriate journals (Journals from Science Direct, IEEE, etc.). ]

Use the same font name, font size, text alignment (justify), and spacing (double) above. Leave double spaces after

the paragraph. Then, delete this note.]

Current Block Diagram (Business Logic)

[Illustrate here the business logic through a diagram using the standard flowchart diagraming symbols or

some objects representation. Below the graph, provide a paragraph describing it. The researcher makes sure that

the graph reflects what is being discussed in the previous sections.]

Note: Use only one page for this diagram. Check the sample diagram below.

This is the current stock management process of JMARS Electronics and Electrical Center. The
shop has a manual record of stocks and sales such as adding records manually(writing) which takes a long
period, takes a lot of effort and patient. The notebook became the database/inventory of the records which
is difficult, time-consuming, and unsafe. As the ordered stocks arrive from the supplier’s shop and transfer
to a public bus, the manager then records the stock manually to their notebook. The manager manually
checks the stocks through the notebook which is hard and inconvenient.

The Proposal

In this paper, the proposed system is a Stock Management System. The system will enable the manager to
effortlessly record and update stocks especially the details, quantity, price, etc in an easier, convenient, and faster
way. It will also notify the manager whether the stock is low so that the manager will be aware and can immediately
order stock from the supplier. The system will also make the data secure because the data will be stored in a
database and also it will generate overall statistics of the product sold.
[In this area, the researcher must be able to describe the possible solution, innovation, or enhancement of

the proposed system. The researcher must identify which part of the system to be modified from the current system.

Also, the researcher must explain the purpose and scope of the technologies being integrated into the proposal.

Through the Stock Management System, it will help the business improve sales in such a way that the

system can notify the manager that stock is low. This system will make the business process faster as the process of

recording stocks is quicker, reliable, and easy especially on adding and updating records. The manager also won’t

worry about the recorded data because the data is safe and stored in the system’s database.

Discuss the possible integration of the new business logic/process, benefits, and contribution once the

system is implemented. Also, mention in the discussion the scope and limitation of this proposal, especially the

attributes of a system such as its Reliability, Availability, Security, Performance, etc.

Note: You have the entire page to write the proposal. If you need another page, you may continue to the next page.]

Propose Block Diagram (Business Logic)

[Illustrate here the business logic through a diagram using the standard flowchart diagraming symbols or

some objects representation. Below the graph, provide a paragraph describing it. The research makes sure that the

graph reflects what is to be changed, its innovation or enhancement. The group must identify the module/area which

will be enhanced or modified.]

Note: Use only one page for this diagram.]

This is the Proposed Block Diagram where it shows a computerized process. After the ordered stocks
arrived, the manager can record the stocks through the Stock Management System where it shows the easy, fast
and convenient way of recording data. The manager can add and update records effortlessly. The data/records are
stored in the system’s database where it is harmless and protected. The system will also generate overall statistics of
the product sold and also it will inform the manager if the stock is low so that the manager can restock again and
order supplies.
