1. Do you think that Intrapersonal Communication played a role
before the debate? The President did not do the traditional debate preparation like having mock debates but what he was doing is answering questions from reporter or from media to test his attacks on Joe Biden. He was planning to go after Biden records and history. Biden somehow has a more traditional debate preparation. Biden has prepared for this moment since 1987 the first time he ran for president.
2. If you have any suggestion to one of them in relation with
Interpersonal Communication, what would that be and why? I think Biden standout the most during the debate because he speaks very professional and he is well prepared to exchange information against Trump. Both of them had a unique hand signal or non- verbal cues while speaking.
3. What speech style is widely used in the discussion? Do you
believe it is appropriate? Why or why not? The debate started off placidly enough, with each candidate delivering a measured, coherent answer to a question about the vacancy which is very formal communication style. After five minutes the discussion started to become inappropriate and very informal, so many interjections, raised voices, and simultaneous monologues broken up by brief periods of uninterrupted speech.
