The Impact of the Internet on Society

In this day and age the internet is something that is crucial for people's lives, the development of
the internet brings a change in society. The birth of the internet has made people's behavior
patterns shift along with the development of social media which is growing rapidly in people's
lives, both in terms of culture, ethics and existing norms.

The Internet is a network that connects computers using the global system standard transmission
control protocol or the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP / IP) as an exchange protocol, and can
communicate, interact, and exchange information with each other over long distances. In
addition to the ease of using the internet, user's can also achieve some positive impacts, positive
impact that Internet users can have: the ability to add insights and knowledge from different parts
of the world. Especially for students who experience online learning, it will be easier to find
informations for studying purposes. Students can also watch a variety of educational videos that
are sure to help with their education. Not only does the Internet make it easier for students to find
information, it is also a communication medium for society to communicate using social medias
that's available. The Internet can also generate profits in the form of money and other means of
exchange.

Internet consumption in today's society is higher than in the past. This shows that people's
dependence on Internet connection is very high. With the Internet and communication tools,
people rarely interact with the real world because they use gadgets more often in daily life. that's
one of the reasons why there is a need to increase self-awareness in society in order to stay in
control and not be too distracted from the real world that is going on.
In conclusion, In an era with advanced technology like now Internet access is very important for
the community because it can help with daily activities, but the negative side of using the
internet also greatly affects people's lives who can freely use it anywhere and anytime, therefore
it is necessary to increase awareness so that the influence of the internet does not affect the
community too negatively.
