assessment as students perform the experiment by themselves. Participants were tested for
self-compassion with the help of help of self-compassion scale in form of likert scale. The
scale also measures 6 elements of self-compassion. After analysis the data obtained was
self-kindness was lower than self-judgement, whereas common humanity was much
higher then isolation. Data was also found to be same fore mindfulness and over
identification. The total score of 20 participants was obtain and z score were calculated.
Outcome of z score was -0.40 which indicates mean is below standard deviation. The
mean score was calculated 74.1. The Z score signifies that how much particular value
varies from calculated standard deviation. The Z score has a negative value which
indicates score of participants was below mean of standard deviation. Obtaining data of 6
components it was found to be participant is less kind towards himself and more
judgemental participant also isolate himself as the score were less then common humanity
in comparison. The participant score slightly less than the other group. Participant was
satisfied with the result obtained.
First and foremost the person can try to practice mindfulness in their daily lives, this can
ensure that the person has a well-adjusted point of view towards life and the suffering.
Furthermore, the participant can try self-acceptance, accepting oneself means accepting
oneself with all the weaknesses and flaws without being judgemental, however, this
doesn't mean the person should not strive to develop. Moreover, the person can express
gratitude for all the things that they are grateful for, also the person can focus on their
strengths instead of weaknesses. Thus the person can try to let go of their need for
seeking external validation and let go of their judgemental behaviour and opinion about
themselves.
When feeling compassion for others, participant may tend to project kindness and
empathy toward them. Self-compassion means doing the same for you. When things don't
go as planned, treat yourself as you would a friend. Be calm and settle, give yourself a
hug, and look in the mirror and say kind words to yourself.
