2020 WORLD HOME ECONOMICS DAY

As per declaration of the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE) in 1982,
the World Home Economics Day (WHED) is celebrated every 20th of March. For this year, the
Philippine Home Economics Association (PHEA) Inc. will spearhead the celebration of the
2020 World Home Economics Day (WHED) with the theme, Housing the Dispossessed, on
March 21, 2020 at Don Alejandro Roces High School, Roces Avenue, Brgy. Obrero, Quezon
City.

Target participants are Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan (EPP), Technology

and Livelihood Education (TLE), and Alternative Learning System (ALS) teachers,
coordinators, head teachers, master teachers, principals, and supervisors from public and
private schools.

There will be no registration fee; however, interested participants are requested to

register online through the Facebook page of PHEA.

Participation of public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-

classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 titled Instituting Measures to Increase
Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
