Dear __,

Greetings!

This International Coastal Cleanup Day, Greenpeace will be highlighting community-led brand audits
across several regions in the Philippines with partners in line with Break Free From Plastic’s global push.
We are looking for organizations who can participate in this coordinated push and who will lead the
organizing of brand audits in their particular areas on September 18-19, 2021 at a site of their choosing.

We are looking for allies in the zero waste movement to take part in this annual activity which seeks
corporate accountability for the plastic pollution crisis. Brand audits are organized around the world to
raise awareness on the extent of corporate-driven plastic pollution in our communities. Consumers are
often blamed for plastic pollution, but these events demonstrate the role of corporations in the issue and
the need for them to take responsibility for the waste produced by their products.

By involving community members and organizations in this initiative that contributes to global efforts, we
hope to exhibit a collective demand for corporate action for the plastic crisis, as well as the value of citizen
science and community participation in addressing plastic pollution and the climate emergency.

The briefer on brand audits is attached for your reference. We kindly ask that you confirm your interest by
September 5, 2021. We will be conducting an online brand audit training for confirmed groups. The virtual
training is required to ensure we follow the correct protocols in collecting and recording data, and comply
with safety protocols.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at 09175507525 or through email at jchua@greenpeace.org to

coordinate the scheduling and organization of the training and orientation sessions. If you have questions
or clarifications you may reach me through those channels as well.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
