God’s

greatness and goodness

May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say
continually, “Great is the Lord!” (Psalm 40:16)

It is true that as God owns everything, all worship is due him because he is powerful and
holy. He has rights over us, and we are accountable to him. The greatness and closeness of God
is in the person of Jesus Christ. Who put on flesh and come to live on Earth with sinful man and
pay the highest price to see us reconciled to the Father. His greatness is found in his works and in
His role of creator, the king of all the earth, The master who dictates the lives of all creatures.
Second is the greatness of his holiness. As John 1:5 says, “God is light, and in him is no darkness
at all.” He is the standard of truth and moral uprightness. Third is the greatness of his eternality.
He is Alpha and Omega, he is the beginning and the end, nothing came before him and nothing
will come after him, and all the time is in his hands.
The Bible portreys God  by the greatness of his works as such an omnipotent figure, that
people still have faith in his goodness and folow his rules
