Writing Composition

Composition - is another word for writing - that result. The way in which something put together or
arranged.

Composition comes from Latin " componere " meaning " put together ".

Composition Writing Steps

Step 1: PREWRITING - is the planning process.


* Brainstorming - get together with a group or partner.

* Listing - brainstorm on your own.

* Free writing - write anything that topic brings to your mind.

* Interviewing - working with a partner, ask each other questions.

Step 2 : DRAFTING
* Keep in mind your purposed and your audience.

* Write your ideas. You can make crossout, leave blanks, use abbreviation.

* Skip lines to add or make changes.

* Don't worry about errors. You can correct it later.

Step 3 : REVISING
* Add parts by writting between the lines and in the margins.
* Move parts by circling them and drawing arrows to show where you want to be.

* Take out parts by crossing them out.

* Adding parts use arrow.

Step 4: PROOFREADING
* Check any spelling you are unsure of in a dictionary.

* Indent all the paragraph.

* Check for punctuation.

* Check for capitalization.

* Check for grammar errors.

* Use proofreading marks.

Step 5: PUBLISHING
* Copy your writing onto clean piece of paper.

* Add an attention catchy title.

* Share your writing with an audience.
