The results of this research show that: (1) methods used to teach IRT given at SLB Negeri 1

Bantul are just the same as methods used in general schools though the lecturing, question-
answer, and demonstrative methods which are previously used by the teachers of IRT daily.
They maximally apply the method, but they are still faced with some barriers which such as the
religion background of the students’ families. These all affect the results of the learning. Specific
methods to deliver IRT for students with the blindness and retardation have not been found yet.
While the students with hearing impairment specifically use the body language and
spokenmethods. (2) The results of IRT learning methods gained by the students can be
categorized as less maximum because of condition of stud
