Ancient Greece

Ancient Greece was a civilization belonging to a period of Greek history

from the Greek Dark Ages of the 12th–9th centuries BC to the end of
antiquity. Greece had a lot of colonies but the main city was Athena which
was situated south of the Balkan Peninsula. Greeks controlled almost all
exchanges and cargos from the Mediterranean Sea.
In the glory era, ancient Greece was considered the most educated
citizens. Children were sent to school since they were 12 and also trained
to be a Greek soldier. As we know Pythagoras, Euclid and Archimedes
helped us to understand better and include basic rules in mathematic, that
are used to these days. A better way to understand the power of this culture
is by looking to the Temple of Hera or the Parthenon, which are
breathtaking considering it was finished in 438 BC. Those temples were a
sanctuary dedicated to their gods, very important for them because they
were placed in the middle of the city.
This is why I consider Ancient Greece one of the greatest civilizations
of all time.
