CABLE DUCTS AND WASTE WATER PIPES
ARE NO APPROPRIATE WALL SLEEVES

In spite of its obvious and well known disadvantages

cable ducts and waste water pipes, which are available
on site, are still considered to be an easy and cheap
alternative to a professionally designed wall sleeve.
Cable ducts and waste water pipes do not offer a reli-
able fastening possibility in the reinforcement and also
show strong deformation after concreting, such that the
use of standard press seals is not possible. This often
requires the use of a cost intensive, individual sealing
system.

Furthermore, smooth pipes without a water barrier do

not form a watertight connection with the concrete, so
that despite an intact seal in the pipe, water can ingress
into the building between the pipe and the concrete.

THE REASON WHY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT
THE SMART WALL OPENING

Lugs for a secure fastening in the reinforcement with tie wire. Integrated patch flange for the processing of polymer modified
bituminous thick coatings.

3 4

Integrated Bellmouth shape protects the cables from damage. Nail lugs with break protection for easy fastening at the formwork.

5 6

Middle flange serves as water barrier. Easy adjustment to the wall thickness on site.

Blind plate with threefold division for easy knocking in ensures a Frame connection system for easy creation of packages on site –
pressure tightness up to 1 bar right after concreting. compatible between all three sizes.
MAKING SURE YOUR WALL IS PERFECTLY SEALED
FROM THE VERY BEGINNING

The Bellmouth Wall Sleeve BWS is a multi-talent which outweighs

the advantages of a conventional wall sleeve. The middle flange
serves as a water barrier and warrants a homogeneous connection
to the concrete. Together with the blind plate it ensures a pressu-
re-tightness up to 1 bar right after concreting. The frame connecti-
on system, which is integrated in the middle flange, allows on-site
package building among all three sizes. Thus BWS is securely held
in position also during concreting and the solid construction made
from high quality ABS prevents deformation. The adjustment to
the wall thickness is made by insertion of cable ducts availble on
site. Even for reserve openings BWS is perfectly suitable. Thanks to
the blind plate, additional openings can be easily laid into the wall
during the construction phase. These are ready for use by simply
breaking through the blind plate. Thereby eliminating extra costs for
retrofit core drillings or blind seals completely. Breaking through the
blind plate is very comfortable, thanks to the trisection division. The
patch flange additionally offers the possibility of processing polymer
modified bituminous thick coatings.
