GULAYAN SA TAHANAN PROJECT

INTRODUCTION
Gulayan sa Tahanan is a project initiating the development of
vegetable gardens in homes that will serve as a food basket to
sustain daily vegetable consumption. The project shall be
participated by teaching personnel and students of Ocampo
National High School and their parents. Gulayan sa Tahanan is a
Gulayan sa Paaralan extension initiative, and even the
Department of Education encourages parents and students to
participate in this beneficial activity.

PURPOSE
This project encourages home gardening to assist families in
food production, especially during this pandemic. The project
will supply seedlings and will be given for free to each attendee.
We aim to promote and enhance vegetable production in every
home and increase knowledge, skills, and attitude among the
learners and parents about the importance of home gardening
and how to improve their nutritional status.

DESCRIPTION
This project will consider the following suggested process to
start and implement the above-mentioned proposed program.
1. Conduct an Orientation - Ocampo National High School must
conduct an orientation to the parents to introduce the proposed
program.
2. Conduct Seminar - This limited seminar workshop shall be
attended by learners from 7 to 10-grade levels. The participants
of this seminar must be informed about the objective of the
proposed program.
3. Create an Action Plan - The school must create an action plan
which will serve as a guide in implementing Gulayan sa
Tahanan.
4. Schools must organize and select a committee in charge of the
monitoring and evaluation. Each grade level must have a set of
officers in charge of the monitoring and evaluation.
5. Every quarter, the school must conduct a program to
recognize the best implementer of the Gulayan sa Tahanan
Program.

The estimated budget needed for the project is ranging from
