The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many people.

But while it may offer some advantages, it is probably better to stay home because of the
difficulties a student inevitably encounters living and studying in a different culture.
To what extent do you agree or disagree this statement? Give reasons for your answer

It’s a common belief that studying abroad is a good thing for many people, but some
people choose to stay at home because of having differences in culture that they have to
cope with. In my opinion, I agree that a student who are studying overseas have to cope
with many difficulties when they living and studying because of different in culture.

On the one hand, students will find it hard to integrate with a new life because of having
difficulties in culture. For example, people will find it difficult to carry out daily activities
due to the time difference, so it can make people feel tired in their first time in a new
country. Or worse, they can get some problems with their health like allergy, fever…
because of climate difference. Therefore, overseas students can have some hardship when
they first move to a new country.
On the other hand, an independent life can be a disadvantage to many students because
they are too rely on relatives. Without family, they have to do everything from cooking,
washing clothes… to clear the floor. Furthermore, when having some issues in studying or
stressed, they will very miss their family. So, it's not easy to adapt to an independent life
without any relatives.

In conclusion, there are a lot of difficulties that people will meet when they live and study
abroad. I hope that host country governments will have policies for international students
so that they can integrate into the new environment.
