Job Satisfaction of The Karimnagar District Co operative Central

Bank Ltd. Employees - A Case Study

Abstract:
Agriculture in India plays a major role. Most of the farmers in India are from poor
and middle class. They need investment to do the agriculture. They barrow money from
Banks, Co operative societies and Money lenders. Co operative societies charge very
little amount of interest on the agricultural loans as compared to national / private banks
and money lenders.

Co operative banking in India started with the passing of Co operative Societies


Act in 1904. There are two types of Co operative credit institutions working in India and
be classified into two broad categories – 1) Agricultural and 2) Non- Agricultural.
Agricultural credit institutions are further divided into short-term and long-term
agricultural credit institutions. The short term credit institutions cater short term financial
need of agriculturists and having three tier federal structure – i) at the Apex, there is state
co operative bank in each state, ii) at the district level, there are Central Co operative
banks and iii) at the village level, there are Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.

Need of the Study:


Job Satisfaction plays a vital role in Employee performance. Job satisfaction inter
depends on Wage/Scale, Working conditions, Stress at work and Welfare schemes etc….
Job satisfaction affects the productivity, Employee performance, Employee employer
relation and Organisation development.

Objectives of the Study:


1) To study the Employee Satisfaction levels of The KDCC Bank Ltd., Karimnagar.
2) To analyze how far it will be useful to improvements of Organisation.
3) To understand how much co-operation between employer and employee.
4) To suggest the KDCC management, what else they can do for their employees for
oragnisation development.
Hypothesis of the Study:
1) There is no significant difference among the employees about Job satisfaction.

Research Methodology:
The present study is combination of primary and secondary data. The secondary
data has been collected from various Books, Journals, Periodicals, Reports, News papers,
Websites and Government Orders. The primary data has been collected by distributing
questionnaire to the employees of 15branches out of 62 branches in Karimnagar district.
The sample size is 100 Employees in random to carry out the study.

Limitations of the Study:


1) The present study is confined to The KDCC Bank Ltd. Karimnagar District only.
2) The opinion collected for the purpose of the present study is confined to
employees and employer of The KDCC Bank Ltd.
