A Study on Writing Development in Early Childhood

1. BACKGROUND STUDY:

“Writing” is refer in all the forms on visual, communication, and written,but not
just conventional writing which tend to emerge towards the commencement of the
formal schooling. It is important to emphasise the writing which involves the
childrenin primarily of the facilitation of their written expression through the
developmental progression from mark marking, scribbling, and drawing
(Mackenzie,2011). Meanwhile, exploration on how the elements of print, text, and
written language features can be introduced during the engagement of emergent
writing experiences. Writing amongst childrens gives some opportunities to involves
childrens in meaning making using multiples modes of communication. For example,
visual, auditory, tactile, verbal and written. Writing is a complex task. The
developmental of writing stages was included with pre-literacy, emergent,
transitional, and fluency. Once the childrens learns to write, then the writing will
become easy tool to use for communicate with other people. Children writing will
help to support them to develop their imagination and produce a series of alphabet
that make a language. Writing is an experience for children who are mnifestation of
their interest in communicating with others. Preschool children’s really needs to
receive more writing opportunities from the teachers in the classroom. The early
focus on praticing of the promoting writing development prevents children from
becoming poor writers. Children that has poor handwriting will have low achievement
by the later of the years in school, especially in the mathematics, reading dan writing
ascepts. Over 20 years, research in the early writing background has been
increasing, and the studies has found that rich environment of classroom together
with ample writing helps the improve in their early writing skills. The development of
writing progresses in stages (Gerde, & Bringham,2012). Early writing was connected
together with the language development; therefore its a necessary to support of the
development on children’s writing (Al-Maadadi & Ihmeideh, 2016).
2. PROBLEM STATEMENT (I.P.I.A):
The highlights of the issues is handling the children’s need to encourage the
handwriting and early literacy skills by develop the early writing of development in the
preschool with and without developmental deferral, through the establishment of the diverse
early writing and the literacy strategies into the daily life practice and lesson plan. The virtual
perspektif is to teach handwriting are important to develop the writing of te children. The aim
of this program is to give a chance for providing more early writing opportunities to preschool
children and by merging these writing lessons with those literacy development with children
would be more successful in writing and literacy when the children enter into the
kindergarten. This research concentrated on raising the early writing skills of preschool
children on using handwriting activities,
