Core Relationship of Violence and Peace

Violence and peace may have some common aspect but it is sure that they both
have two types. Like violence that has a direct and indirect, while peace has a negative
and positive. The two have both related to institutional or physical and non-physical or
non-institutional bases. Both depends on what kind or type of approaches that has been
used by an individual or a nation.

In violence there is direct that has physical contact or physical movement to do

such violence. It is the same in negative peace that depends on the absence of a
certain conflict or violence directly to an individual or an institution. Indirect violence that
are mainly counter the mental and psychological matter of an individual or nation. And it
is the same to the positive peace that mainly focus on the psychological thinking and
emotions of an individual.

Both violence and peace has a differentiation but they have same pattern to
directly involve in one’s body and mind. Also if one of them is missing, they did not have
something to be compared on. It is like the good and the bad, the negative and positive
feature of life. There is no violence if there is peace. There is no peace if there is
violence. Both of them co-exist because human kind are not perfect. And both of them
should exist so that they can define each other.
