SANDIA MATADOR LADY TRACK AND FIELD

Dear Community Partner:

The 2019 track season is upon us, and we are excited for another season of high school Lady Track and
Field here at Sandia High School. We are looking forward to building upon our season last year. Our
players and coaches are excited for continued success. We placed 3rd overall in State last year and with
many returning athletes, and strong core of new young athletes, we are convinced that the future of our
program is extremely bright. However, we need your support.

We are very fortunate to have the generosity of Albuquerque Public Schools (APS). Currently our school
district covers the costs out of town transportation, basic supplies, and the salaries of three coaches.
Despite their best efforts, APS simply does not have the resources to fund all of our program’s needs.
Some of the items that are much needed in our program are snacks for track meets, player awards, and
our end of the year banquet. In all, our 2018 fundraising goal is $17,500 for two teams with around 70
athletes (JV & Varsity).

For this reason we are seeking community support. Our team is as strong as its community and with
your help, we can continue in our efforts to maintain one of the finest Lady Track and Field programs in
the state of New Mexico. Consider becoming a Team Member Sponsor by reviewing our Sponsorship
packages (sponsorship packages are listed on the next page). This is our most effective means of
building up or budget. It gives us a chance to help you gain added recognition within our school and
community. While there are many benefits associated with your financial support, we can think of none
greater than the satisfaction of knowing you are helping us educate and coach some of the most
talented and extraordinary young female athletes (and scholars) in the state.

We believe that fundraising is a very necessary part of a successful track and field program. Each player
must be totally committed to the concept of team and, in essence, learn the values of team first and
positive community outreach. It is with great humility that we ask for your support this season, as you
become a member of the Sandia Lady Track and Field Program.
