- Vsms developed by American psychologist Edger Arnold Doll(1953), published in 1936.


- Indian adaptation by Dr A Malin during his work at Nagpur Guidance and Conselling
Centre.
- The items in test were arranged in order of ‘normal average life age progression’.
- 89 are there in Indian adaptation, arranged in increasing order of difficulty.
- Purpose: Child guidance, child training and distinguish between mentally
retarded/intellectually disabled child, with or without social competence.
