Abstract

Because congratulations are a speech act, it is included in the study of

pragmatics. The current study looks at congratulation tactics in the Kurdish
language in a few different scenarios. The pragmatic analysis of the
congratulation speech act was used in this work, titled 'Congratulation and
its Strategies in the Kurdish Language.' Statistical equations were used to
determine the rate of use of each congratulation strategy. In studying these
congratulation tactics in the Kurdish language, the current study used
Elwood's approach.
The study's main goal is to identify the types of congratulation tactics
utilized in various contexts, or even the frequency with which they are
applied in Kurdish culture. The research is split into two sections. The first
section includes a broad definition and summary of the different types of
congratulation, as well as pragmatics and congratulation, and Kurds and
congratulation strategy. The second section will focus to the Kurdish
language's congratulation approaches.
