Indonesia, in comparison with
Ecuador, you shouldn’t use your left
hand for anything. You mustn’t
touch anyone with it, you cannot eat
with it, it's considered this is the
hand that you use to wipe yourself
in the bathroom.
In Indonesia, a man should also
never shake hands with a
Muslim woman, unless she
extends her hand first.
Compared to Ecuador, if a man
extends his hand to greet, it is a
sign of respect.
In Indonesia you must use your right
thumb in order to point things: pointing
with the index finger is considered
rude. Compared to Ecuador, you can
use your index finger to point out what
you need.
For example: could you help me with
that toy?
May I ?
In Indonesia if you see there is
someone working outside, you
should ask, "May I", before walking
down the street. In comparison to
Ecuador, people do not usually ask
for permission
In Indonesia, a man should also
