The most important thing I learned in this lesson is about communicating with others and the general
process of communication. This lesson helps me broaden my knowledge of the importance of
communication in our lifestyle and community because we are free to express ourselves and share
meaning with others.

SUMMARIZATION
- Communication is the exchange of meaning from one individual or group to another by mutually
recognized signs, gestures, symbols, and semiotic order.
- In addition, it relates to the procedure of communicating verbally and nonverbally.
- To put it in other words, communication can be defined as "the formation and sharing of
meaning."
- Not only are the ideas and thoughts vocally communicated, but also non-verbally. Thus, body
language is defined as anything from our dress sense, our jewelry choices, as well as all other
symbols that connect to the speaker.
-
-People must agree on the meaning of the phrases or symbols they use to communicate.
- They can only approximate or express their thoughts by using symbols such as gestures, noises,
letters, numbers, and words.
SENDER-RECEIVER MODEL
- For communication to take place, the receiver must fully understand the sender's point of view.
This means that a sender's time is wasted if their message isn't effective in the receiver's
environment.
Many factors are in decoding a message, but the receiver's cultural background in connection to the
message is often used as a beginning point for interpreting.
The speaker and the receiver must speak the same language since some statements may be
misinterpreted by others, causing confusion and even conflict against the speaker.
