Torrential Rain warning


It has been decided by the National Crisis Committee (NCC) that, in view of the heavy
rainfall prevailing in the country, public sector employees, other than those working in essential
services, should not report for duty tomorrow 28 April 2021 in strict compliance
with the provisions in paragraphs 3.0 and 4.1 and other applicable clauses of the Protocol
on Heavy Rainfall for the Public Sector which is available on the website of the Ministry
(http://civilservice.govmu.org).

2. Supervising Officers are requested to keep abreast of future communication of the


Mauritius Meteorological Services and the NCC. They need to ensure adherence to the
abovementioned decision by all Public Officers serving in their Ministries/Departments. They
should also bring the content of this Circular to the attention of all Local Authorities/Parastatal
Bodies/ State-owned Enterprises falling under your purview.
