What do you think is the vital role of the Philippine history of the war in gaining
independence from foreign colonizers in molding 21st-century soldier and citizen soldier`s
patriotism?
- For me, the vital role of the Philippine history of the war in gaining independence from
foreign colonizers in molding 21st-century soldier and citizen soldier`s patriotism is
FREEDOM AND UNITY and the declaration of independence helped unify the colonies
so that they all fought together. The vital role in the people learn how to fight, defend
themselves and protect our territory from colonizers. History serves as a guide for every
Filipino for present and future plans and unites us as one and molds us to be
responsible Filipino citizens. Molding a soldier and citizen soldiers’ patriotism in the 21st
century is very important owing to the fact that patriotism is nationalistic. Being a
patriotism or national pride is the feeling of love, devotion, and a sense of attachment to
a homeland or the country and alliance with other citizens who share the same
sentiment to create a feeling of oneness among the people so that soldier is the most
disciplined and faithful person in the nation.
