CENTER OF GRAVITY AND CENTROID
The center of gravity G represents a point where the weight of the
body can be considered concentrated. The distance from an axis to
this point can be determined from a balance of moments, which
requires that the moment of the weight of all the particles of the body
about this axis must equal the moment of the entire weight of the
body about the axis.
