From the review of theories related to learners' development I realized that the design of learning and

teaching should be based on learners’ development theories for the reason that:

Learner’s developmental theories provide mechanisms for analyzing how information is used,
knowledge is created, and learning occurs. Learning planners may use these tools to tailor instructional
activities to specific learning and learner requirements, allowing them to make more informed decisions.

Each theory presents a unique perspective on learning and the necessary ingredients for success.
Learning designers can understand and explain the position of the learner, instructor/teacher/facilitator,
and how learning occurs in various ways by using these theories as lenses. Every theory has affected and
developed instructional procedures and processes, and new theories can do so as well.

Different theories provide the broader context of learning, underlying motivation, and effective
teaching, all of which have implications for instructional design and delivery. In addition, different
theories are better suited to various learning outcomes and audience profiles because no two students
are identical, and everyone learns in a different way. Our brains are all different, and our life experiences
all play a role in how we think. Psychologists have spent countless hours administering assessments in
order to gain a greater understanding of how students learn.

Teachers can create specific strategies and techniques to apply these theories in their classroom.
Teachers need to first focus on getting a well-rounded education to learn about all kinds of techniques
for teaching and classroom management. Teachers need to understand learning theories to be prepared
to utilize them in their classroom. An understanding of learners’ developmental theories helps teachers
connect to all different kinds of students. Teachers can focus on different learning styles to reach
different students, creating teaching that focuses directly on student needs and aptitudes.

Current and aspiring teachers must be trained in order to be able to teach students on a daily basis.
Understanding various learning styles is also an important aspect of teacher education. Teachers will
learn from a variety of well-established learning theories as they plan to assist students in the
classroom.
