HARRIS SECURE VICTORY AT THE
MISSISSIPPI SUPREME COURT

After many years of a hard fought litigation and appeal, the team of Johnny
Givens and Laurel Li Harris secured a victory at the Mississippi Supreme Court.
 On December 13, 2018, the Supreme Court denied Greenwood Leflore
Hospital’s Petition for Writ of Certiorari thereby affirming the $185,000 medical
malpractice verdict obtained in September 2015.  The client was Jacqueline Deal
and after an accident that caused a significant wound on her leg, the medical
staff at Greenwood Leflore Hospital negligently left a 4×4 gauze in her wound.
This caused a significant delay in the wound’s healing process thereby leading to
increased medical bills and pain and suffering.  Further details on the case and
