Data analysis
The detail analysis of Population Census 2011 published by Govt. of
India for Uttarakhand state reveal that population of Uttarakhand
has increased by 18.81% in this decade compared (2001-2011) to
past decade (1991-2001).
The density of Uttarakhand state in the current decade is 488 per
Sq mile.

hand there are districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and
Pithoragarh the population density is quite low with average
of 41, 49, and 69 persons per square km.
