Goddess Tripura Sundari is the third manifestation among Dasamahavidya, hence it is known as
“Sodasi”, ‘a girl of sixteen’ born from the Eastern face of Brahma. Her name Tripura Sundari
literally means “She who is beautiful in the three worlds”.

As she illuminates the three worlds from the light that emits from the three eyes of Lord Shiva,
she is called “A Girl Of Sixteen”- the night of perfection.
