PG CURRICULUM REVISION – R21 REGULATIONS

IMPORTANT POINTS
i. Each course will have 5 units with approximately same weightage and generally
addressing the steps in “Blooms Taxonomy”.

ii. In Laboratory courses, the number of proposed experiments shall be at least 12.
Specify the tools and equipment required to conduct the experiments.

iii. Each course should have (i) Course Objectives (ii) Course Outcomes (iii) Units (iv) a
maximum of 3 textbooks and 4 reference books (vi) Online learning resources, web
content etc. wherever available.

iv. The course outcome should be mapped with “Bloom Taxonomy” and the level of
taxonomy shall be indicated for course outcomes (L1 to L6).

v. The course objectives shall be written from the teacher perspective and the course
outcomes shall be from the student perspective.

vi. Mention clearly the title of the book, names of the authors, publishers, year of
publication. For ex:
Signals and Systems, "Oppenheim, A.V., Willsky, A.S. and Young, I.T", Prentice
Hall, 1983 Edition

vii. If a course is common to other specializations, it has to be mentioned clearly. If


syllabus is different, title of the course should also be different.

viii. The content may appropriately be designed keeping the contact hours and credits for
the course as per the structure.

ix. Text Format for syllabus:


a. Use size 12 font (Times New Roman)
b. Use 1.15 line spacing
c. Avoid large passages of italics
d. Avoid using a change in font
e. Justify & Align text
