1. Read the following sentences and work on the following tasks:

a. Identify and mark all subordinate clauses, if any, and state what kind of
subordinate clause each of them is. (Draw the boxes to mark the subordinate
clauses above each line).

b. Identify and mark each subordinating conjunction introducing a subordinate


clause. Name each of them “subordinating conjunction”.

c. Identify and mark each coordinating conjunction whenever it is joining main


clauses. Name each of them “coordinating conjunction”.

d. Classify the sentences according to their structure.

When London Zoo received many reports which informed that a wild puma
had been spotted in London, the reports were not taken seriously, but the
evidence began to accumulate. 

Experts from the zoo conducted an investigation because the descriptions


which had been given by people who had seen the puma were very
similar. 

I was very young and I could not understand death so my mother gave me
a simple explanation and I understood her message.
