Localizes the apex & comment on character; 6 Palpates for parasternal heave and for palpable sounds & thrills; Auscultates mitral area using diaphragm and bell of 7 stethoscope in supine and in left lateral positions. Auscultates tricuspid area in both expiration & 8 inspiration. Auscultates aortic & pulmonary area in supine & sitting 9 position (leaning forward, expiration).
