People living in a city have always been considered to be privileged, having an easier acces to

various facilities than those living in the countryside. But do all these privileges, such as a
successful education system and a good infrastructure, fulfill completely all the necessities of the
modern citizen? Confronting an explosive growth regarding the number of people leaving the
city area, searching for a more beautiful, quieter and cleaner place, the local council has to take
now some new measures to attract them to return.

Firstly, a youth club is needed because the future of the city lies in the hands of the young
generation. For example, due to the COVID-19 pandemic teenagers have forgotten how to
socialize without using their phones. Moreover it has been discovered that the technological
devices caused them also attention deficiency. Thus, it is important for them to re-learn how to
communicate, make friends and think outside the box in order to become confident adults and
respectful citizens with rights and duties.

Secondly, as the modern citizens nowadays are working ten hours on the average, it is vital for
them to find a place where to relax, spending some quality time with their families and friends so
that they can return vigorous and ready to work again. Not having to pay the entrance, everyone
from a doctor to a badly paid employee can enjoy the benefits of walking in the park. In this
manner, the city will have in the long run a healthier and less stressed work force, as parks
represent an escape for the most part of the city’s population especially because of the silence
and the healing ability of the nature.

All in all, there will always be room for improvements in a city, but in my opinion a facility that
the local council should urgently build in my town is another park. Besides the positive effects it
has on the health, state of mind and productivity of the citizens, it also looks great and gives the
owners of the nearby apartments the opportunity to sell their properties at a higher price due to
the location and the remarkable view towards the park. So such a place is able to bring benefits
to the community in many ways.
