Method Statement

PROPOSED OF WATER LEAKAGE AREA USING P.U INJECTION


METHOD AT BESRAYA ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

1) Demarcate area where cracks or water leakage area which are visible.

2) Clean the area along the cracks/joints using a wire brush or water jet.
Remove all laitance, loose concrete or other stains from the concrete.

3) Drill 14mm diameter holes to along the side of the crack or leakage spot at
+/-45º angle inserting to the structure for installation of packers.

4) Install the packer to the drilled hole and connect the packer to the grout
pump.

5) Inject NCL PU Flex-2 one component flexible foam grout into packer using
the grout pump and allow the material to flow into cracks.

6) The material must be visible during the initial set stage (yellowish expanding
foam). When the P.U foams appears at the next packer move to the next
packer and continue to inject.

7) If necessary, return to re-inject into the previously injected packer to ensure


that the material in the crack is fully compacted.

8) Allow to cure for 24 hours before removing the packers.

9) Remove the exposed visible solidified grout and packers.

10) Monitored and ensure the particular zone are dried before move to another
zone.
