Q: Given a chance that you can give another component for NSTP, what would it be and why?
A: The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is a program meant to help young people
develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being, as well as to promote
defense preparedness and service ethics while they are engaged in one of the program's three
components. If I were to give another component of it, it would be the “Practice for Mental and
Spiritual Growth” whereas this practice is connected to self-development among the youths
through different outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, yoga, etc.
We live in a world that is filled with competition. In fact, we work so hard to keep up with its
expectations that we scarcely have time to think about what is important to us. This is why self-
improvement has never been more vital than it is now. In essence, self-development is the
deliberate progress of oneself toward becoming a better person. One must develop physically,
mentally, and spiritually in order to achieve this aim and for the nation’s growth too.
