Arrival

Exposition: A linguist works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve
mysterious spacecraft appear around the world.

Rising action: Aliens have landed on Earth, in 12 different locations. Language professor Louise Banks
joins a US army team at one of the locations, in Montana. Her job is to try to learn the aliens' language
and enable communication with them.
Climax:  that the scenes where Louise Banks is shown with her daughter, is not the past . Those are her
visions of her own future.
Falling action: The Heptapods or the alien came to give humans gifts, to share their technologies, so that
humans, 3,000 years in the future, could return the favor and help them in their time of need.
Resolution: louise steal the phone of CIA and run away to call General Shang by calling his private
number and reciting his wife's dying words and change his mind.

Exposition: Hidden Figures is base 60s when women and coloured people were given the treatment’ in
America. Yet three incredible women Africa-American women Dorothy Vaughan, Katherine g Johnson
and lastly Mary Jackson, were superlative mathematicians and engineers despite starting their careers in
segregation-era America and facing discrimination at home, at school, and at work just Because of their
skin color

Rising action: Due to Virginia’s segregation laws, African American female computers have to work in a
separate “colored” building at the Langley Research Center. But the U.S. is so desperate to beat the
Soviet Union into space that NASA becomes a reluctant meritocracy: Because of her expertise in analytic
geometry, Katherine is assigned to a special task group trying to get Glenn into orbit. She arrives at her
new job to find she is the only brown face in the room and Mary must navigate layers of racist
bureaucratic hurdles in her quest to become an engineer. Dorothy is fighting for a long overdue
promotion, 

Climax: when the rocket is shot into space and Katherine is no longer needed in her department because a
machine replaced her. But then she needed to configure the number for the landing pattern
Falling action: Kathrine Johnson being allowed in the white man’s facility. Hidden figures takes place in
1921 where African Americas were now allowed to work.
Resolution: She tells her three daughters that she’s going to do what she can to help those brave men get
to space.
