ABSTRACT
Ranugrati Road is the main access to Sawojajar’s Residential Area and has the service level of F in the afternoon
on weekdays. In traffic hour, the combustion process of motor vehicle fuel that emits compounds such as carbon
monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, solid particles and lead phosphorus compounds will no longer be
efficient and imperfect, that's when the collection of compounds occurs then compounds released and following
by the increase of air pollution. The Green Line of Malang city is 434,022 m2, or only 0, 39% of the total area. It
shows that the area is not suitable (Minister Regulation 5 /2008) which is 6%, while Jalan Ranugrati only
contributes 0, 2% of the green line. This research evaluate the emission generated by motor vehicles using energy
ecological footprint analysis and then analyzing biocapacity of greenline on Jl Ranugrati. The results are the total
CO2 emissions on Ranugrati is 2567,21 tons/year and the biocapacity is only 6,99 tons/year. It shows that Jl.
Ranugrati section has exceeded its carrying capacity in terms of CO2 emissions. The recommendation of this
research is to add 51 vegetations and the existing conditions of Jl. Ranugrati and it can reduce 58% of CO2
emissions
